Aryn Youngless is a multi-talented musician, writer, and filmmaker. She contributed the vocal bridge between “Be Here I Am” parts I and II.

     Aryn began playing piano at the age of five and took lessons for six years by the time she was 13. She has written two complete piano arrangements—one titled “Incandescence” as well as an untitled piece. A multi-instrumentalist, Aryn also played clarinet for 11 years and drums for two. Within the last two years, she has aggressively been teaching herself the guitar and jumped headfirst into songwriting.

     Like many teenage musicians, Aryn flitted through several bands before taking a self-imposed hiatus from music after high school. In January 2003, Aryn and fellow Secret Six members Nate Nieding and Jay Youngless, along with musician Kate Griffin, convened for two days in Nate’s basement to record a 13-song demo of songs whose lyrics and vocal melodies were written by Aryn and Kate. Recorded and released under the banner the F-Bombs, the demo was intended as a one-shot recording project. However, thanks to Aryn’s marketing talents, offers for live performances, interviews, future recordings, and other media ventures began to come in. A working line-up of the band was now needed. Chris Youngless (Aryn’s now-husband) joined on bass as Jay left to concentrate on writing for Secret Six. Barrett Close rounded out the line-up on drums as the band played a flurry of shows that took them through October 2004. By then, Nate had amicably split from the group to pursue other musical interests and Christian Dohar (who contributed acoustic and electric guitars to Secret Six) joined the group for one final live performance.

     The F-Bombs have been on hiatus since their last show, but 4/5 of the lineup has morphed into Project: Baby Metal Fish which features Aryn, Chris, Barrett, Christian, and his brother J.P. In addition, Aryn has begun working on another music project called the Jades.

     In addition to her musical interests, Aryn is also a budding novelist with three completed manuscripts, one of which she is currently shopping to publishers. She has also written a screenplay that she hopes to film sometime in the future. Presently, Aryn is assisting Chris in completing his film Murder Capital, U.S.A. for which she and Christian are composing the original score.
