Christian Dohar

Christian Dohar is a multi-influenced musician, who provided electric guitar fills and acoustic guitar to Secret Six.

For seven years Christian rehearsed his six-string primarily for his own personal satisfaction before finally joining his first band—the F-Bombs. In January 2003, Secret Six members Aryn Youngless, Nate Nieding and Jay Youngless, along with musician Kate Griffin, convened for two days in Nate’s basement to record a 13-song demo. Intended as a one-shot recording project, the group developed into a full-time band thanks to offers for live performances, interviews, future recordings, and other media ventures. Chris Youngless joined on bass, Jay left to concentrate on writing for Secret Six, and Barrett Close joined the outfit as its full-time drummer as the band played a flurry of shows through September 2004. It was then that Nate amicably split from the group to pursue other musical interests. Facing their first line-up change since becoming a full-time band, the F-Bombs turned to Christian to fill the vacancy. While Nate was a guitar slasher schooled in hard rock and metal, Christian brought a different perspective to the group with his punk and ska influences. The group quickly went to work rehearsing its older material while fleshing out new compositions. In October 2004, Christian played his first and only show with the F-Bombs as internal pressures led the band to declare a hiatus shortly thereafter.

With the F-Bombs on hiatus, 4/5 of the final lineup morphed into Project: Baby Metal Fish in November 2004. The new group featured Aryn, Chris, Barrett, Christian, and his brother J.P. They quickly began writing fresh material and rehearsing weekly. Unfortunately, stagnation set in and the group’s practices became fewer and fewer. In April 2005, Christian and J.P. left Project: Baby Metal Fish to pursue other musical ventures.

In January 2005, Jay approached Christian about adding additional guitar work to Secret Six. Christian spent the better part of a month experimenting with different patterns before coming into Track_Six_Recording to add guitar leads to “Remote Control” and “Candelabra.” A month prior, Christian recorded additional acoustic rhythm guitar for “Heidi’s Eyes.”
